Writers at Work: Accepting the Accountability Challenge

Spread the love

Many of you know that we’ve added two new grandbabies to the family in less than two weeks. (Photos below.)

Because I’ve been spending many wonderful hours holding babies, I am going to post a guest blog today, but it’s actually one that I wrote myself for the blog of good friends of mine.

It’s about “Making On-line Writing Challenges Work for You.” A number of you who participated in my two writing challenges in April are quoted in the article on making use of writer accountability groups.

And new baby pictures? I thought you’d never ask!

Meet Sophia below (two days late) and

and scroll down to see James (six weeks early)!

  1. Aw, Kristi, love those baby feet and hands and cheeks. So edible!!!
Kisses to the babies. James is big for being 6-wks early!

Oh Vijaya, you are so right! Nuzzle, nuzzle. Yes, James was just under five pounds, even with being so early.

  2. Heather

Adorable pics! This is the perfect post for me. I’ve been looking for an accountability buddy for a while now, but not much luck on my current writer’s forum. I’m going to keep trying, though. Perhaps I should place an ad–Wanted: Fellow writer who would be willing to kick my rear when needed!

Sorry to be late to reply, Heather. Just got home late last night and I was off line while seeing the new premie grandson. Yes, do keep looking. My accountability partner lives in Australia! They’re out there, but not everyone is as serious about the writing as they claim. (Or others don’t need the boost that you and I do! 🙂 )
